Whey Protein Concentrate & Whey Protein Isolate

Whey
Protein Concentrates come in three protein concentration levels 34%,
50% and 80%. We sell only the highest protein concentration the 80%
protein Whey Protein Concentrate without additives. Whey
Protein is also available as Whey Protein Isolate (90% Protein)
which we carry.
100% Whey protein? Some companies use this
term to mean the product contains protein only from whey and not from
other protein sources (The products do contain other ingredients,
fillers etc. just no other protein sources). Other companies use this
term to mean it only contains whey protein (no fillers, flavors, etc.)
but do not state the concentration level of 34%, 50% or 80% protein. At
best 100% whey protein is a misnomer which typically misleads people
into thinking they are getting 100% protein. 100% whey protein does
not mean 100% Protein!
We simply refer to our whey protein as whey protein
concentrate or whey protein Isolate. We then clarify exactly what
concentration type it is by stating the protein level as 80% or 90%
protein. It contains nothing else no fillers, flowing agents, flavoring
agents, or coloring agents, it is only whey protein. It is not isolated
chemically but is isolated using micro filtration, other parts of
the whey are filtered out leaving mostly protein.
Whey Protein has a mild flavor similar to evaporated
milk. Whey Protein is referred to as Whey Protein Isolate as the
Protein has been isolated (separated) from the other whey components. Whey
Protein Isolate has a better amino acid profile, a lower fat level
and higher immune boosting properties than whey protein concentrate.

Sweet Dairy Whey
Regular Sweet Dairy Whey is 12% Protein. It is
concentrated into the powder form by taking the water out of liquid
whey.
Some companies sell this whey as concentrated whey
protein, it is not it is just pure dairy whey with the water removed.
Many companies blend this with whey protein concentrate to lower the
cost of their whey protein. We do not recommend it as a protein
supplement as it is only 12% protein. It is commonly used in baking and
cooking.
